The Barony of Forgotten Sea is the Kansas City–area chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) —a non-profit organization dedicated to recreating the arts, culture, and life of the pre-17th century world.
Whether you’re interested in armored combat, medieval clothing, calligraphy, music, or hands-on crafts, there’s something here for you!

🛡️ Who We Are
The Barony of Forgotten Sea is part of the Kingdom of Calontir, located in the Central Region of the kingdom.
For decades, we’ve been an active and influential group in the SCA, bringing history to life through events, education, and camaraderie.
Members are encouraged to explore the historical arts and sciences that inspire them most—whether that’s sword fighting, embroidery, brewing, woodworking, or heraldry.
🌍 The SCA is inclusive and open to everyone—all races, genders, sexual orientations, religions, national origins, ages, and abilities are welcome. 💖
📍 Where to Find Us
We meet weekly to practice combat, create projects, and socialize! 🤺🎨🗣️
🕕 Meetings: Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m.
